RNI unveils 2026-2031 economic plan: what it means for Moroccans abroad

On July 15, RNI president Mohamed Chaouki presented to CGEM the main lines of his party's economic program for 2026-2031, titled 'Dignity and Opportunities for All'. The program is built on three major commitments and twelve operational measures, aiming to boost competitiveness of very small, small and medium enterprises (VSMEs), accelerate industrial upgrading, develop regions, and create jobs. CGEM emphasized the need for these reforms to support investment and growth. For Moroccan expats, these orientations could mean more investment opportunities in Morocco, simpler administrative procedures for diaspora entrepreneurs, and better support for return projects. RNI proposes measures to facilitate access to financing and improve the business climate, directly benefiting expats wishing to contribute to Morocco's economic development while valorizing their savings. Continued structural reforms, if implemented, could also enhance Morocco's attractiveness as an investment platform for Moroccan skills abroad.
