Morocco: CDG and Public Ministry Digitize Notary Notifications

The Caisse de Dépôt et de Gestion (CDG) and the Presidency of the Public Ministry signed a partnership protocol to digitize regulatory notifications for notaries. This agreement, led by King's Prosecutor General Hicham Balaoui and CDG CEO Khalid Safir, implements Article 33 of Law 32.09 on the notarial profession. It replaces paper-based procedures with digital exchanges, particularly for reporting non-compliance in notary transactions. For Moroccan expats, this reform enhances legal security for notarized documents (contracts, inheritances, property purchases). Digitization reduces processing times and risks of errors or fraud, providing better contractual protection for remote procedures. The Prosecutor General noted that the agreement moralizes the notary profession, while the CDG CEO highlighted improved data exchange efficiency. This initiative is part of Morocco's digital transformation, offering expatriates a more reliable and modern framework for their legal affairs.
